How to Trade in/Upgrade?

It is very easy. Please follow the steps below:

1. Order any ResMed CPAP machine from our website. During checkout, you can leave a note in the comment box "I need to trade in" or "I need to upgrade my brand new machine"; or send us an email to sales@respshoppe.com telling us you need a CPAP trade in/Exchange/Upgrade
   
2. We will ship your order to you, with a pre-paid Fedex return shipping label
3. After you receive the package, put your old CPAP in the box, with all accessories, ship it back with the pre-paid Fedex shipping label
4. Once we receive your used CPAP machine, we will do necessary analysis, and notify you its value. If you agree on this value, we will mail you a check within one week; if not, we will ship the used machine back to you

You can trade in/upgrade any CPAP machine, however:

• Your used CPAP must be in good, usable, working condition, no loud noise, no fault message, and not in need of any type of repair. If your machine does not qualify, we will send it back to you. Either way, you do not pay any shipping for your trade in.
  
• You do not smoke
• If you upgrade your brand new CPAP, your order must follow our upgrade policy: 1) if you have a manual CPAP you can upgrade to an auto CPAP or a VPAP/BiPAP; 2) If you have an auto CPAP you can upgrade to VPAP/BiPAP only; 3) you cannot do upgrade if you have a brand new BiPAP/VPAP; 4) all brand new machines must be unused.

2. Do I send back all accessories (humidifier, tubing, mask, power adapter, travel bag)?        Return to FAQ
Yes please send humidifier, power adapter, and travel bag to us. For the tubing and mask, unless they are very lightly used (must not show signs of wear, use, condensation, or bending), please do not send them back. We will donate the brand new tubing to the non-profit organization.

If you upgrade your brand new machine you must send everything in the box and the machine cannot be used.

Unfortunately we do not accept accessory trade-ins.

4. How much is my used CPAP worth?        Return to FAQ
There are many factors to consider before we decide the value:

• Does it have a humidifier?
• Does it have very lightly used tubing and/or mask?
• Is it a manual machine, auto machine, or a BiPAP/BiLevel/VPAP machine?
• Who was the manufacturer? What's their reputation and defect rates?
  
• When was the machine made?
• When was the machine purchased?
  
• Does it look very old or new?

These are typical values of used CPAPs with humidifiers :

No. As you are trading in a used CPAP machine, we believe you deserve the best machine in US market. Only customers purchasing any Resmed machines can join this program.

No. Once you trade in your used CPAP machine, that old CPAP machine belongs to Respshoppe.com. It is Respshoppe.com who donates that used machine.

We have a long list non-profit organizations who accept donations. Some of them accept a few machines per month, while some of them accept as many as possible. We try our best to diversify our donations.  

8. I know someone who cannot afford a CPAP, can he/she buy used CPAP machine from you, or can you give them one free used CPAP machine?        Return to FAQ
Unfortunately no. He or she can contact various non-profit organizations for free CPAPs.
